In a celebration of intellect, artistry, and humanitarian spirit, the international online pageant system Miss Regal World (based in the UK) has officially announced Dr. Roopa Modha as the reigning Ms. Regal World 2025-2026. Modha, a multi-hyphenate powerhouse, was selected by a panel of industry professionals for her lifelong dedication to global service and her exceptional achievements across the fields of law, media, and the arts. Modha represented the USA in the international pageant. A true "Renaissance Woman," Dr. Modha’s selection marks a milestone for the organization, as she brings a historic resume of legal scholarship, artistic world records, and transformative humanitarian work to the global stage.

Dr. Roopa Modha is an intellectual property law attorney holding a Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law, with certificates in Intellectual Property Law and Tax Law. Beyond the courtroom, she is a celebrated TV host, author, lyricist, illustrator, journalist, and international pageant queen with many titles and awards to her name. An accomplished dancer and dance teacher, she excels in a vast array of styles, including Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, semi-classical, ballet, tap, jazz, and Bollywood (trained under Smt. Saroj Khan). To date, Roopa has achieved 38 successful world records in dance, including three Guinness World Records, and has earned titles and recognition worldwide for her artistic performances and dancing prowess.
Dr. Modha’s impact extends from grassroots fundraising to international policy. Throughout her career, Modha has been a tireless advocate for women’s empowerment and education. Dr. Modha’s shelf of accolades reflects her global influence, and her work has earned her some of the world’s most prestigious honors. These include being recognized by President Barack Obama and the White House as a "Changemaker." She was named one of the "40 Women Leaders to Watch" by CWEALF and received the "Anokhi Advocate" award from Canada—an honor previously bestowed upon global icons like Priyanka Chopra and Malala Yousafzai. She received the Shatakshi Women's Award (India). Closer to home, Connecticut’s Malta House recognized her as a "Wonder Woman," a title officially bestowed upon her by the Connecticut Senate. She was the youngest recipient and only South Asian.

Modha’s commitment to philanthropy is extensive. She serves as an international ambassador for the UK Women of Heart Awards and is a dedicated Ambassador for organizations such as Girl Rising and the Indian Dreams Foundation. Her advocacy extends to suicide prevention, anti-bullying, and bone marrow donation awareness. She was honored with the Presidential Gold Service Award for her focus on volunteering. Notably, she was honored as a Youth Ambassador for Vision Aid (supporting the blind) for three consecutive years (2023–2025) for her record-breaking fundraising efforts and was also honored by GOPIO with the Youth Professional Achiever award. In 2024, the Massachusetts UIANE organization honored her as a "Woman Achiever" for her multidisciplinary success. As a lyricist, she wrote the empowering track "I Rise" by Agents of Harmony, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting girls' education worldwide. She also authored a children’s book to raise funds for girls’ education. She has been an invited speaker to the NY Indian Consulate and important summits and organizations worldwide.
As Ms. Regal World 2025-2026, Dr. Modha will continue to use her global platform to inspire change, champion the arts, and ensure that girls everywhere have access to quality education.
