New York: Maryland Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller will return to the general election ballot in November after she and Governor Wes Moore secured victory in the Democratic primary on June 23, setting the stage for their bid for a second term.

Following the primary win, Miller pointed to the administration's accomplishments over the past four years, citing reductions in violent crime, economic expansion, and increased investment in public education as evidence of the progress made under the Moore-Miller administration.

"Together, we've delivered meaningful results for Maryland families," Miller said. "We've seen historic declines in violent crime, strengthened our economy, and improved our schools. But there is still more work ahead. If we want this to be Maryland's decade, we must continue building on that momentum and delivering for communities across the state."

Miller also credited Moore's leadership for fostering bipartisan cooperation and emphasized the administration's commitment to working across political divides to address the needs of Maryland residents. She pledged to continue that approach if voters grant the ticket another four years in office.

The Democratic ticket heads into the general election with a substantial fundraising advantage. Earlier this year, the Moore-Miller campaign announced that it had raised a record-breaking $7 million during a non-election year—the largest off-year fundraising haul in Maryland history. Campaign officials report that the ticket currently has more than $7.4 million in cash reserves.

Miller will remain the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor as she and Moore prepare for a November rematch against Republican gubernatorial nominee Dan Cox and his running mate, lieutenant governor candidate Rob Krop.
