Chicago: Spreading the message of unity, patriotism, and community spirit, the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), Chicago Chapter, organized a first-ever Tiranga (Tricolor) car rally in Schaumburg on August 17.

Scores of participants proudly decorated their cars with the Indian Tricolor alongside the American flag, honoring both their motherland and the land they live in.

With chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', 'Vande Mataram, God Bless America, and Long Live America', the rally stood as a vibrant symbol of the diaspora’s deep-rooted connection to both nations, India and the United States.

Following the grand rally, FIA-Chicago joined thousands at the Independence Day Parade hosted by National India Hub, further amplifying the collective celebration of India’s freedom.

The Consulate also hosted a celebration at the historic Chicago Cultural Center. Over 300 guests — including Consular Corps members, elected officials, community leaders, friends of India, academia, and media — joined the gathering.
