Bollywood top-grossers of 2025

From historical dramas to patriotic tear-jerkers and lavish comedy thrillers, the first half of the year was memorable. As the stage is set for the next six months of 2025, a look at the 10 highest-grossing Hindi movies...

Sky Force | The film was the first hit of the year and was based on India’s first airstrike on the Pakistani Airbase on Sargodha in 1965. It starred Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya in the lead. Released on January 24, the film’s worldwide collection was Rs 149 crore.

Chhaava | Starring Vicky Kaushal and Akshaye Khanna, the film emerged to be the first blockbuster of the year. The period drama is the biopic of Maratha ruler, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Released on February 14, the film earned Rs 807.88 crore worldwide.

The Diplomat | The Shivam Nair directorial minted Rs 51.46 crore worldwide. The film, starring John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb, is based on the story of Uzma Ahmed, who seeks help from the Indian embassy to return to the country after being trapped in Pakistan. It was released on March 14.

Sikandar | The Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer was one of the highest-grossing films of 2025. The action thriller was released on March 30. Directed by A R Murugadoss, 'Sikandar' did a worldwide business of Rs 184.6 crore.

Kesari Chapter 2 | The film is about C Sankaran Nair’s battle against British rule after General Dyer opened fire at innocent people celebrating Baisakhi at the Jallianwala Bagh. At the global box office, the film minted Rs 144.62 crore after its release on April 18.

Raid 2 | Ajay Devgn plays a fearless Income Tax Officer in the film, which minted Rs 237 crore worldwide after its release on May 1.

Housefull 5 | Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film is set on a cruise. The ride turns choppy when cops arrive on the cruise to solve a murder mystery. As of now, the worldwide collection is Rs 193.39 crores. It is still in theatres.

Sitaare Zameen Par | The film follows the story of a basketball coach, who learns a lesson in empathy while coaching ten Neurodivergent adults. Released on June 20, the film has already collected Rs 165 crore (estimated) worldwide.
