Actor Vikrant Massey has officially begun preparing for his role in 'White', a biopic based on the life of renowned spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. The '12th Fail' actor met the spiritual guru in person to prepare for his role. According to sources, Massey is now headed for a month-long shooting schedule in Colombo to film some of the most important moments in the guru’s life, News18 reported.
Sharing pictures from his meeting with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Vikrant expressed his gratitude and nervous excitement in an emotional note. “Deeply humbled and gushed with gratitude to bring my MASTER @gurudev SRI SRI RAVI SHANKAR JI’s story to life. I can only attempt to step into your magnanimous shoes GURUDEV. Though futile, I must try,” he wrote.
He added, “Rarely does Mother Earth get a glimpse of selfless souls like you. To my beloved well-wishers, I am very nervous. I’d need you every step of the way. 'White' only in cinemas.”
Directed by Montoo Bassi, 'White' aims to shed light on a remarkable chapter of global peace, the end of Colombia’s 52-year civil war, where Sri Sri Ravi Shankar played a crucial role in facilitating peace efforts. The film will feature an international cast and promises to showcase an inspiring tale of compassion, resilience, and diplomacy. The official release date is yet to be announced.
Massey was last seen in 'Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan', which marked the debut of Shanaya Kapoor. While he was previously attached to 'Don 3' alongside Ranveer Singh, recent reports confirmed that he exited the project due to creative differences, and the makers are now seeking a replacement.
