Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has received official recognition in the Australian Senate for his record-breaking Aura Tour, marking a proud moment for Punjabi music and culture on the international stage.

Senator Paul Scarr applauded Diljit’s contributions, noting how his performances united people through the shared language of music. “His work continues to represent Punjabi culture with pride, connecting communities worldwide,” the Senator stated.

Diljit created history as the first Indian performer to perform at major Australian stadiums, such as Melbourne's AAMI Park and Sydney's CommBank Stadium. The Melbourne performance, which attracted a sizable audience, was notable as a significant accomplishment for Punjabi and Indian performers abroad.

Following successful concerts across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth, the Aura Tour extended the global success of his Dil-Luminati Tour, which had earlier broken records in London and Canada. However, the tour has not been without controversy. According to media reports, US-based Khalistani activist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun issued a threat against the singer.
