The action drama has become the first Indian film to cross USD 1 million on its first Monday in North America.
Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Dhurandhar 2' continues its unstoppable march at the box office, entering the coveted ₹500 crore club within just five days of its release. The Aditya Dhar directorial has rewritten record books yet again, collecting a massive ₹65 crore on its first Monday (March 23), proving that weekday drops are no match for its momentum.
The spy thriller's five-day India nett now stands at Rs 519.12 crore, surpassing 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' (Rs 425.10 crore) in the Hindi version. Worldwide, it has already crossed the Rs 800 crore mark - massive numbers for a Hindi film.
At this pace, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' is well on track to enter the Rs 1,000 crore club within the next two days. The film is already setting new benchmarks for Hindi cinema, including two back-to-back Rs 100 crore single-day collections.
The film’s appeal lies in its gripping narrative and high-octane storytelling. Set against the volatile backdrop of Lyari in Karachi, the story blends covert intelligence operations with real-life geopolitical events such as the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks.
The film features Ranveer Singh as an Indian spy infiltrating Pakistan’s criminal-terror networks and also stars R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, Sara Arjun, and Gaurav Gera, among others. It is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar.
