Mumbai: In a historic advance bookings record, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ (Dhurandhar 2) has managed worldwide pre-sales for the opening weekend finishing near the Rs 500 crore mark. The film has witnessed phenomenal traction not just domestically but also internationally, reports claimed.
In India, the film's opening weekend pre-sales stood at an outstanding Rs 160 crore gross, reports revealed. Nearly 100 crore came from the opening day alone, including premiere shows, the data-tracking website said. "The film is now widely expected to deliver one of the biggest, or possibly the biggest, opening weekends in Indian cinema history," the report said.
Featuring Ranveer Singh in the lead, 'Dhurandhar 2' was produced with a staggering budget matching part 1 — both in the vicinity of Rs 250–280 crore. R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi return alongside Ranveer Singh in the film, which has been released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam.
