Hyderabad: The 30th edition of the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) returns to Hyderabad on December 5, celebrating three decades of cinematic, cultural, and artistic exchange between Europe and India.

The Hyderabad chapter of the EUFF festival will open with the Dutch film ‘Memory Lane’ directed by Jelle De Jonge. The films will be screened at Prasad Lab Preview Theater, Sri Sarathi Studios, and Alliance Francaise in Hyderabad.

The festival line-up brings an eclectic mix of some of the most acclaimed European films, each offering a distinct cinematic voice. It includes anticipated titles like 'Julie Keeps Quiet' (Belgium), 'Happy' (Austria), 'Holy Cow' (France) and 'Dying' (Germany), 'Matters of the Heart' (Denmark), Romania’s 'Three Kilometres to the End of the World', and Italy’s 'Familia'.

Hervé Delphin, Ambassador of the European Union to India, said, “We’re especially excited to bring the festival back to Hyderabad after the amazing reception we received last year. This city doesn’t just love cinema- it has a remarkable appetite for every form of storytelling. ”

The film festival will showcase 23 films from 23 countries. All films at EUFF 2024 will have English subtitles and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Festival Curator Artur Zaborski said, “This year, audiences in Hyderabad will have the opportunity to experience some of Europe’s most powerful, thought-provoking, and award-winning films that define the richness and diversity of contemporary European cinema.
