The first-ever screening of 'Ramayana' was held in Los Angeles this week at the Cinemark Playa Vista movie screen for a select group of people. The special show was arranged for people ranging from age groups 18 to 60, and had a varied section of audience amongst them, The Week reported.
The report also suggested that the film's ambitious size, visual effects, and emotional storyline have received "overwhelmingly positive" initial reviews from viewers.
According to the source, the screening was mainly done as a test to see how the plot would be received by the public, which allowed the filmmakers to make any necessary adjustments before the Diwali release.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, 'Ramayana' is scheduled for Diwali 2026 release and it is a two-part epic with the second part likely to release on Diwali 2027. The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram while Yash essays the character of Ravana. Sai Pallavi is enacting the iconic character of Sita with a host of other big stars also in the cast. Musical geniuses AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are combining for the soundtracks and background scores of this magnum opus.
