After wowing audiences as Hamza in the 'Dhurandhar' films, actor Ranveer Singh is reportedly developing a film adaptation of Amish Tripathi's 'The Immortals of Meluha'. According to Pinkvilla, the actor, who plans to play Lord Shiva in the series, has acquired the rights to the book under his production banner, Maa Kasam Film. He has partnered with Birla Studios to turn the mythological story into a trilogy.
With speculation rife around Ranveer's next move after the success of 'Dhurandhar', the report said the project is now in the writing stage. Ranveer and Ananya Birla are said to be actively working on the adaptation, while the team focuses on building the screenplay and the larger world of the franchise.
The report quoted a source close to the production as saying, "Ranveer has been passionate about bringing Meluha to the big screen for a long time now. The acquisition happened recently, and the project is now officially under development. The first part is expected to go on floors in 2028."
