Indian community serves over 5000 meals to Healthcare Heroes

Hicksville, NY: A group of service minded individuals and community organizations, coordinated by Anu Jain and Dr. Raj Bhayani, have served around 5,000 meals to over 25 Hospitals, Nursing Homes, and Care Centers in NY and NJ from April 14 to May 5.  The Nutritious Meals were provided for Our Heroes Fighting The Corona Virus on the Frontline including Doctors, Nurses and support staff.

The compassionate volunteers involved in this yeoman service  included Himmat Singh Ji and His Team Of Welfare Council of World Sikh Parliament,  Renu Sadhnani and Her Group, Aishvarya Jain, Dr. Singh, Venkatesh Sasthakonar, Sinchana Venkatesh, Aashna Venkatesh, Dr. Shalini Venkatesh, Hargobind Gupta, Ramya Raghunath, Raghu Ranganath, Veer Raghunath, Balaji Nagaraj, Singh and his team, Sheetal Talati of Rajbhog Hicksville, Dr. Singh, Chef Mohit, Surendra Gupta, Brahashitha Gupta, Achintyaa Gupta, Aagarshan Gupta, Senthilkumar, Sheela , Shruthika, Sahana, Sashwat, Balaji Nagraj, Akash Balaji, Ascharya Balaji, Rajesh Pandya, Sangeeta Pandya, Monil Pandya, Rudra Pandya, Anjana Desai. Many others have chosen to remain  unidentified.

Last Saturday, another 250 Meals were served in the spirit of the National Nurses Week at Wyckoff Medical Center Brooklyn, Interfaith Medical Center Brooklyn, and Kingsbrook Medical Center, all in Brooklyn, NY.
