Republicans maintained their hold on the bigger races in regional politics, especially in Nassau County.

NASSAU COUNTY

>> Bruce Blakeman re-elected County Executive with over 171,000 votes.

>> Elaine Phillips reelected County Comptroller with 167,868 votes

>> Anne Donnelly reelected County District Attorney with 168,978 votes

>> Maureen O’Connell reelected County Clerk with 172,113 votes

TOWN OF NORTH HEMPSTEAD

>> Jennifer DeSena re-elected Town Supervisor with 29,046 votes

OTHER MAJOR WINS

PAMELA D PANZENBECK won re-election as Mayor of the city of Glen Cove, securing a third term with 51.75% percent of the vote. In the Town of Oyster Bay, JOE SALADINO was re-elected Supervisor with  46,235 votes and in Hempstead, JOHN FERRETTI, Supervisor, won with 88,534 votes. In Huntington, incumbent EDMUND SMYTH, a Republican, won with 21,368 votes.
