Officially opened to the public on September 17, 2025, the Orchidarium is part of the Swarna Jayanti Maitreya Manjari initiative, aimed at promoting eco-tourism and showcasing the rich biodiversity of Sikkim.
The Orchidarium is situated within Ridge Park, a short distance from the town center of Gangtok. It is easily accessible by a local taxi or a brief walk from the main market area
The Orchidarium features a wide variety of native and exotic orchids, providing visitors with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of these flowers.
The space is designed for quiet appreciation, blending indoor and outdoor floral experiences. Visitors can enjoy landscaped pathways and glasshouses filled with vibrant blooms.
