Celebrating theatrical excellence with Bharat Rang Mahotsav

The festival, which begins later this month, promises an exciting array of performances with 65 Indian productions and 10 international plays.

The 25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav, a vibrant showcase for the many traditions of storytelling and theatrical expression, will kick off in Delhi on January 28 and continue till February 16. Arranged by the National School of Drama (NSD), which comes under the Ministry of Culture, the event has become a landmark for theatre lovers in India and abroad.

Offering a rich tradition of genres, styles, and themes from timeless classics to bold contemporary narratives, the festival will showcase 65 Indian productions and 10 international plays. Renowned theatre artists and directors from countries such as the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, and Sri Lanka will join hands with India's most celebrated dramatists. With participation from leading theatre groups, drama institutions, and cultural organizations, the festival has firmly established itself as a global platform for artistic exchange and collaboration.

This year's edition also features workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions led by acclaimed theatre practitioners. These events, organized by participating drama institutions and cultural organizations, delve into the intricacies of acting, direction, and storytelling, enriching the experience for participants and audiences.
