Indian stars made a global appeal at this year's Met Gala with their striking debuts. While Shah Rukh Khan set the red carpet ablaze with his signature style and charm, Diljit Dosanjh swept everyone off their feet as he looked every inch a Maharaja at the annual haute couture fundraising festival, held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in Manhattan. Here are some of the breathtaking looks by Indian celebs at Hollywood's biggest night...

Global icon Shah Rukh Khan made a dazzling debut at the Met Gala 2025. Wearing a sharp ensemble by designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Shah Rukh looked dapper in a floor-sweeping black trench coat layered over an unbuttoned shirt. He completed chunky jewellery, including eye-popping diamond-studded pendants emblazoned with "K". To add to the drama, he carried a walking stick with a tiger top, which was completely in sync with this year’s theme, "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”.

Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, who made India proud with his appearances at Coachella and Paris Fashion Week, marked his Met Gala debut this year. His look was inspired by Maharaja Bhupinder Singh, the erstwhile ruler of the princely state of Patiala. While Dosanjh’s outfit was designed by Prabal Gurung, the jewels were customised by Jaipur-based Golecha Jewels, especially the iconic ‘Patiala necklace’, recreated with more than 2,500 pieces of diamonds and emeralds. Isha Ambani once again stole the show at the Met Gala, this year in an exquisite outfit designed by Indian designer Anamika Khanna. Director at Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, she made a powerful fashion statement in an embroidered white corset teamed with black tailored trousers and an ornate floor-grazing cape, which took over 20,000 hours to embroider. Diya Mehta Jatia, the younger sister of Shloka Mehta (billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s daughter-in-law), made a striking debut at the MET Gala this year, donning a custom creation by Bloni Atelier. Adding a distinct edge to her look was a sculptural earcuff by Tribe Amrapali, crafted in silver and delicately gold-plated. The earcuff drew from the grandeur of Mughal artistry, reimagined for the modern era. (Photo courtesy: Tribe Amrapali)
