Indian-origin actor-filmmaker Dev Patel has come on board to co-write, direct, produce, and star in the upcoming period action-thriller 'The Peasant'.
Set against the backdrop of medieval India in the 1300s, 'The Peasant' promises to be a gripping tale of vengeance and rebellion. The film marks Patel's second directorial venture and reunites him with Thunder Road Pictures, the production house behind 'Monkey Man'. Adding to the collaborative force, 'The Peasant' will also be co-produced by Fifth Season.
