Acclaimed flautist Rakesh Chaurasia, whose performances have taken the sound of the bansuri to audiences around the world, has been honored with one of the country’s most prestigious recognitions in the field of performing arts.
The Grammy-winning musician has been selected for the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for 2024-25, an honor presented to artists who have made significant contributions to India’s cultural and artistic heritage.
