The US launched its first crewed mission around the Moon in more than 50 years, with President Donald Trump and senior lawmakers hailing NASA’s Artemis II mission as a milestone in a renewed global space race. It will also lay the groundwork for future missions aimed at establishing a sustained human presence on the Moon.
