Dear readers and friends,

As the United States prepares to mark 250 years of independence on July 4, we are witnessing an unprecedented national celebration. The semiquincentennial has evolved into a significant period of reflection and festivities that began on New Year’s Eve 2025 and will continue throughout 2026.

Over the past two and a half centuries, the United States has emerged as a global leader in economic, military, and technological sectors. This success is deeply rooted in the contributions of talented individuals from around the world. Among these, the Indian American community has been particularly influential, driving innovation in Silicon Valley, leading Fortune 500 companies, and advancing critical research in medicine and technology.

The partnership between India and the United States has similarly flourished, maturing into a Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. This collaboration spans defense, trade, and space exploration, underscored by the "Mission 500" goal to increase bilateral trade to $500 billion by 2030. Recent commendations from President Donald Trump regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership further highlight the strength of this international bond.

To commemorate this historic milestone and the diversity that defines the American success story, The South Asian Times (TSAT) is proud to present a special 84-page "America@250" edition. We intend for this edition to serve as a collectible resource for you and future generations.

The South Asian Times has been consistently connecting the communities since its conception. On behalf of our team, I would like to thank our readers and supporters for their continued partnership. We hope you enjoy this special edition, and welcome your comments and suggestions.

Best regards,
