Shanghai: In a solemn ceremony held at the Consulate General of India in Shanghai, members of the Indian diaspora gathered to honor the victims of the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam.
The event, led by Consul General Pratik Mathur, witnessed the community observing a one-minute silence in memory of those who lost their lives.
Organized by the Consulate General of India (CGI) Shanghai, the remembrance brought together leading figures from the Indian community and consulate officials in a unified gesture of solidarity and mourning. The tribute underscored the diaspora’s deep connection to events unfolding in India and its shared grief over the loss of innocent lives.
“In Memoriam of the Victims of Pahalgam. At a special event hosted by CGI Shanghai, leading members of the Indian diaspora joined CG @PratikMathur1 and other Consulate officials in a one-minute silence in remembrance of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack,” said the CGI in a post on X.
The Shanghai observance served as a poignant reminder of the resilience and unity of Indians around the world in the face of such tragedies.
