Maheshwari Manasabha of North America (www.mmna.org) hosted its 3rd Sakhi Reunion 2026, a three-day cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas, from Miami to the Bahamas.

The reunion brought together over 125 Sakhis (lady friends) representing nine chapters across USA and Canada, with members ranging in age from 25+ to 75+. The event celebrated sisterhood, cultural bonding and community building.

The reunion was led by MMNA National Sakhi Leads Sheetal Baldawa, Smita Jaju, Mayuri Karwa, and Neha Rathi, with guidance from advisors Poonam Bhutada, Board of Trustee, and Deepali Dargar, National Executive Committee. It was very well supported by all Chapter Sakhi Leads and Chapter Presidents, which made the reunion memorable and a grand success for the attendees.

The Sakhis enjoyed a full itinerary of activities designed to foster connection and fun, including Antakshari, musical performances, yoga, Zumba, DJ night, a cocktail evening, and various group games. The experience spanned land excursions, cruise amenities, and beach time in the Bahamas, creating an all-in-one celebration.

“From late-night conversations to meeting new friends across chapters, these three days created memories that will last a lifetime,” said one participant.

This may be one of the unique instances where only the Women’s wing of an Indo-American social organization coming from all parts of N America combine for such a large cruise. The MMNA ladies left a glittering impact on all passengers of the cruise.

The MMNA Sakhi initiative - which began in 2006 - continues to grow as a platform for Maheshwari women to build confidence, leadership, and strong networks. This year’s reunion highlighted the community’s progress in event planning, engagement, and inter-chapter bonding.

Organizers were praised for their efforts in creating a seamless and meaningful experience for all attendees. The event underscored MMNA’s commitment to strengthening relationships within the community while celebrating cultural heritage.
