Grand inauguration of 'Vatsalya Peeth' in Delhi

The grand inauguration of 'Vatsalya Peeth', constructed at the memorial site of Shasanmata - Sadhvipramukha Kanakprabha - was held on April 19 here with deep reverence, dignity, and spiritual fervor.

The center is designed to be a "living pilgrimage" reflecting Shasanmata's values of spiritual practice, service, and creation, merging modern architecture with spiritual serenity.

The function was graced by Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra as the chief guest, renowned industrialist Savitri Jindal as the guest of honor, and President of Jain Shwetambar Terapanthi Mahasabha Mahendra Nahata as special guest.

The august presence of Shasan Muni Vimal Kumar, Bahushrut Muni Udit Kumar, Dr Muni Abhijit Kumar, and Sadhvi Kundan Rekha elevated the event to profound spiritual heights. The occasion also witnessed the presence of Suman Nahata, President of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Kanhaiyalal Jain Patawari, President of Acharya Mahashraman Pravasa Vyavastha Samiti, along with several distinguished personalities.

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister Harsh Malhotra remarked, “This is not merely the inauguration of a memorial, but a moment of re-establishing a divine consciousness.” He described Sadhvipramukha Kanakprabha as “the living embodiment of compassion, tenderness, and sensitivity,” and expressed confidence that Vatsalya Peeth would serve as a vibrant center of inspiration for future generations.

Muni Vimal Kumar stated, “Vatsalya (affection) is not just an emotion, but the pinnacle of spiritual practice, which Shasanmata truly lived.” Muni Udit Kumar highlighted that her life stood as a remarkable example of discipline and balance, and that this sacred place would offer inner peace to all who visit.

The President of Jain Shwetambar Terapanth Sabha Delhi, Sukhraj Sethia, highlighted the multifaceted personality and literary contributions of Sadhvipramukha Kanakprabha, calling her “a unique creation of Acharya Tulsi.”

In unison, all speakers affirmed that “Vatsalya Peeth is not merely a memorial, but a living center of compassion, spiritual practice, and inner elevation.” It is envisioned as a significant pilgrimage site of faith, inspiration, and spiritual energy for generations to come.
