The makers of Ranveer Singh-starrer 'Pralay' have roped in Juan Carlos Gil, the international cinematographer known for Netflix’s acclaimed series 'Narcos'. Gil has previously worked as the Director of Photography in Vikrant Massey’s 'White', directed by Montoo Bassi.
Juan will be handling the 'Pralay's visuals, according to Bollywood Hungama. A source told the portal that the makers want the film to have a grand, Hollywood-style look and feel. They believe Gil is the right person to bring that vision to the big screen. The cinematographer is reportedly looking forward to being part of the ambitious zombie thriller, while the team is happy to have him join the project.
According to reports, Ranveer Singh is set to begin shooting for 'Pralay' in Australia this September. He will be joined by Kalyani Priyadarshan, who was recently seen in 'Lokah'. The actress will make her Hindi film debut with the ambitious project.
'Pralay' is a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller set in a dystopian Mumbai ravaged by a deadly outbreak. The film follows a married couple as they fight to survive in a city overrun by chaos. Mounted on a reported budget of ₹300 crore, it is expected to be the most expensive standalone film of Ranveer’s career. The actor is also co-producing the project under his banner, Ma Kasam Films.
