The Satya Narayana Mandir of Elmhurst, NY, organized glorious Karwa Chauth Puja sessions on Friday, October 10, 2025, evening from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm followed by Chandra Darshan at 8:30 pm. Many married women celebrated 2025 Karva Chauth with devotion and enthusiasm at the temple, and highlighted the Sanatani traditional and cultural spirit. The festival is a significant cultural and religious event in India, symbolizing marital devotion, love, and togetherness, though it is also observed by the Indian diaspora globally.

Temple priests, Pt. Hemant Ramrakhyani Ji and Pt. Anand Tripathi Shastri Ji made all the Karva Chauth puja arrangements. In the evening, women in vibrant traditional clothes, especially in colors like red and maroon and elaborative Mehandi designs on their hands gathered in groups to perform puja, which includes performance of Sankalpam and invocation of Lord Ganesh by the temple priests, hearing of the recorded Karwa Chauth Katha by all the women collectively, which narrated the story and spiritual importance of the vrat (fast). During aarti in the Karva Chauth puja, the plate is moved in a clockwise circular motion.

After the Karva Chauth puja, all the females offered Naivedyam fruits, sweets, kheer, or other traditional prasadam to Goddess Gaura and Chauth Mata, representing Goddess Parvati.
