The Rockaway Republican Club encourages all New Yorkers to get their friends, family, and neighbors to vote for Republican Curtis Sliwa, the best candidate for Mayor of New York City. In a press statement it said:
It's Andrew Cuomo who should drop out, not Curtis. Let’s be honest: Curtis Sliwa voters will never vote for disgraced Governor Andrew Cuomo. The push for Curtis to step aside isn’t coming from everyday New Yorkers; it's coming from billionaire Democrats who know they can’t buy Curtis Sliwa.
Let’s not forget Cuomo’s record. He made New York a sanctuary state, opening the door to rising crime and chaos. He freed cop killers, pushed for no-cash bail, and forced harmful policies like mandatory vaccinations and pointless mask mandates. He shut down businesses, kept kids out of school, and oversaw the deaths of over 15,000 seniors in nursing homes… and then wrote a book profiting off that tragedy. On top of all this, Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment by more than a dozen women. He resigned as Governor rather than face impeachment. How can any decent, common-sense New Yorker vote for someone like Cuomo?
Don’t blame Republicans for Zohran Mamdani. It was the Democrats who voted for him. Cuomo already lost to Mamdani… and will again. And to Mamdani voters, please reconsider your vote. Take a real look at what Mamdani is promising. Nothing in life is free; someone always pays for it. As Margaret Thatcher once said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.” The policies he touts have already failed badly in American cities.
Mamdani’s platform will change our city for the worse. A rent freeze may sound good, but it leads to slumlords, not landlords. Free bus and subway fare may sound generous, but it will lead to our transit system becoming a homeless shelter, not a service. And higher taxes? They’re never “just for the rich,” they always trickle down and hurt working families.
There is only one law-and-order candidate who can save NYC, and that is Curtis Sliwa. Get out and vote like your life depends on it, because our way of life truly does.
