Following the collapse of mediation talks in Pakistan, political analyst Ajay Jain Bhutoria strongly criticized the Trump administration’s handling of the Iran conflict and urged an urgent return to diplomacy.

“The 21-hour talks in Pakistan ended with zero results. Nearly $40 billion has already been spent in a war that failed to achieve its core objectives,” said Bhutoria. “The Strait of Hormuz was already open before the conflict began. There has been no regime change. Iran still possesses enriched uranium and the technical know-how to rebuild its nuclear program. Meanwhile, American families are paying higher grocery bills due to oil price volatility, and the United States has become increasingly isolated from its allies.”

Bhutoria emphasized that continued military escalation is unsustainable.

“The United States economy is not in a position to spend billions more on war. It is time to give real diplomacy a chance. We must extend the ceasefire, bring all parties back to the negotiating table without unrealistic pre-conditions, and allow sufficient time for genuine negotiations,” he said.

Instead of funding endless conflicts, Bhutoria called for redirecting national resources toward domestic priorities: “We should focus our spending on healthcare, education, and skill development programs to retrain our workforce for the AI-driven jobs of the future. American families need investment in their lives here at home — not in another costly and inconclusive war abroad.”

With high gas prices, rising grocery bills, lost American lives, and billions wasted, Republican chances in the upcoming midterms are in serious trouble. Voters are already turning against Trump’s reckless foreign policy, and this failed war could cost Republicans control of the House and Senate and Democrats will win back the house and possibly Senate.
