New York: Dr. Renee Mehrra, award-winning broadcast journalist, community activist and influencer, has been selected to serve on the Motion Picture Nominating Committee for the 33rd Annual SAG-AFTRA Actor Awards.
SAG-AFTRA of USA is a union of professional actors, announcers, broadcast journalists, dancers, news writers, news editors, program hosts, recording artists, singers, stunt performers and voiceover artists.
In this role, Dr. Mehrra will vote for nominees in the following categories: Actor in a Leading Role, Female Actor in a Supporting Role, Male Actor in a Supporting Role, Cast in a Motion Picture, and Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.
Dr Renee Mehrra, who is an active member of Screen Actors Guild for almost 28 years and is the former President and Board member of the Indo American Press Club, said, “SAG-AFTRA represents over 160,000 professionals across the entertainment and media spectrum, and it is a privilege to contribute to this esteemed process. I am deeply honored to provide my perspective on this year's outstanding performances.”
